Chanel is changing the game and and challenging the concept of gender specific fashion in it's video campaigns this season, starting with the Gabrielle handbag. The bag is a hands-free cross-body bag. Pharrell is the first man to star in a Chanel bag campaign in the history of ever. The Happy singer, dances about flaunting his balancing and agility skills, all to show that much that can be done whilst wearing this hands-free bag.
The campaign video highlights the fact that the brand is creating a unisex appeal to the bags. Pharrell is something of a poster child for unisex clothing, not afraid to rock flamboyant or feminine styles. This video is only the first of a 4 part series that will also be featuring Cara Delevingne, Kristen Stewart and Caroline de Aigret. The best thing is that the entire campaign appears to be the story of 4 modern relatable individuals who have challenged the idea of gender specific fashion, depicting that this all fashionable pieces can fit into or around anyone’s life and style irrespective of gender.
Check out the Pharrell killing the campaign video.(How does he stay looking so young?!?)
