As someone who is a self-confessed scaredy cat, the thought of heading to the Universal Orlando Halloween Horror Nights didn't exactly fill me with joy.
If you've never heard of it, the premise is simple. The rides are houses you walk through, full of nightmarish scenes from horror movies like SAW, The Shining and T.V shows like AHS and ASH vs Evil Dead.
Walking through each house you are chased, grabbed at (but never actually touched), through a maze of rooms too confusing to navigate. The most horrifying thing? The fake mirrors, monsters appearing from nowhere will have you screaming and running for safety.
Trust me I speak from experience.
In between each 'house' is a scare zone. These are basically big sections of the street where actors dressed as monsters or villains recreate scenes from movies, chase you & generally scare the living daylights out of you. Expect to see the Purge election, Trick 'r Treat and scenes straight outta hell.
In all honestly? I've not had so much fun in a LONG time.
Take it from me, even if you scare easily, Universal Orlando Halloween Horror Nights will have you screaming & laughing till you cry.
