PRADA AW18 at MFW

| The in’s & out’s of Prada’s Autumn-Winter 2018 Collection, debuted at Milan Fashion Week.

Prada made their own rainbow runway this evening with a show full of bright clothes for dark days. The color scheme of the night was neon against neutrals; think bright orange scattered across a sheer black or tied up in a bow behind some khaki. Ladylike shapes in pleated midi-skirts and dresses were paired with practical, utilitarian shoe choices like rubber boots or elastic-tied heels. In a world that’s so full of doom and gloom at the moment, this was the fresh injection of colour we all needed.

Technicolour tweeds were layered over chiffon and the – somewhat unfortunate – continuation of the bucket hat was paired with boxy vests and plastic fringing. It’s clear to see that a dangerous amount of neon will be present in our wardrobes this winter and I for one am here for it. Miuccia Prada, you did it again girl.
