| Today at London Fashion Week, the legendary Dr Pam Hogg showcased her Spring/Summer 2018 collection and it was absolutely sensational.
The whole weird and wonderful offering was undeniably optimistic, with highly creative uses of tulle, lace and lycra, eccentric bold hues and colour clashes, and a cast of sexy and confident models strutting their stuff in bold and beautiful make-up.
Here are my favourite looks from the collection, although the best moment has to be the pink and blue twins as seen in the header photo!
I had to put this one in just because of how drop-dead gorgeous the model looks! Hot pink and bold orange are one of our favourite colour clashes here at FFD, and I adore how the palette has been carried through to the make-up, too. The white jacket is destined to be a key look next season; it's a traditional trench or mac shape paired with an interesting textile of delicate lace caught between clear waterproof plastic, and was seen in several variations throughout the show.
The candyfloss hair paired with the paintbox-patchwork jumpsuit in body hugging lycra is such a great combo here. I see this model as a sort of power ranger meets winter sports queen/figure skater, but somehow it doesn't look too costumey. The best part yet again is the beauty; Pam Hogg (unofficial queen of LFW) has styled the whole look as one unit, with fiercely bold makeup tying perfectly with the clothes.
The next two are so great because the pastel colours are so gentle, but the design is so wacky. The silhouette and materials are very reminiscent of the circus, but there are elements I can see trickling down, like the cut out/sheer section down the middle of the first look, the peppermint hues of the second look, and the extravagant collars and neck detailing.
