Molly Goddard SS18 at LFW

Well, as the three year old saying goes: you can always count on Molly Goddard to bring a smile to London Fashion Week! Since her debut back in 2014, Molly put PARTY back in party dress and tulle smocks on the top of every fashion girls shopping list. Setting the tone, she started the show with some pretty sound advice:

"my doctor told me to watch my drinking. Now I drink in front of a mirror."

In a puff of smock, in skipped Edie Campbell with her white cotton smock billowing away, glass of wine in one hand, fag, well, e-cig (girls a rebel, but ye know) in the other. Twirling as she puffed and swigged down the runway, from the very beginning this was the freedom and carefree feels we all needed.

With cute sparkly dresses, tulle smocked frocks, full skirts, and brightly coloured separates, the silhouette was comfortable, stylish with a touch of tomboy yet irresistibly Goddard. She also laid a hand to some sleeker silhouettes, opting for blacks, whites and some splashes of colour, finishing up with some sequins just asking to be taken out dancing.

With Erin O'Connor finishing the show, at the finale the girls came out in pairs, clutching their wine glasses bringing the backstage party to the runway. As always with Molly Goddard shows, you can't help but want to just jump on stage with them! Models that smile and skip rather than scowl and stomp? Yup, I’ll drink to that.
