Milan mens fashion week: Marni, Moschino, Versace

Discover the highlights of the men's collections at Milan Fashion Week for Autumn/Winter 2018 from Marni, Moschino and Versace.

Jeremy Scott went fashion fetish for his kinky new season collection at Moschino, showing patent leather thigh high lace-up boots, arm length gloves, underwear as outerwear, black masks and suspenders on both genders. The stand out piece was the deconstructed tuxedo jacket, the "tandem tux”, in monochrome pinstripes, worn off the shoulder and held together by buckles and straps.

Donatella Versace's fall menswear show was a deliciously over-the-top bricolage of themes and ideas, with over 50 looks including a safari inspired jacket, a velvet shirt printed like ornate furniture, a minidress adorned with leopards and a kimono dressing gown coat, as well as bucket loads of multi-coloured Versace tartan and retro logo-mania everywhere.

Texture was key at Francesco Risso’s new collection for Marni AW18. From heavy patchwork blankets draped over the body and oversized suits with appliqued illustrations, to loose, unravelling knitwear in childlike colours and shiny waterproof trousers, this experimental and explorative arts and crafts inspired show was a feast for the senses.
