Meet Trans Model and Activist, Hari Nef

If you haven't yet heard of Hari Nef, where have you been? Catch up with i-D's exploration of the famed transgender model, actor and activist here.

Hari Nef was the first transgender model signed to IMG in May 2015. Since then she has appeared in i-D, been on the cover of Interview and Elle, feautured in American Vogue, starred in hit TV show Transparent, and modelled as the face of L'Oreal.

Alternative fashion magazine i-D meets the brilliant Hari in a new short fashion film directed by Bunny Kinney profiling the model and activist. The weird and wonderful video captures Hari's presence perfectly- ethereal, rebellious, otherworldly, authentic, and so god damn cool.

i-D profiles the maverick's life and work, introducing her views on gender, sexuality, identity and expression. Modelling a series of vintage looks around London and channelling British punk in its 40th anniversary year, Hari talks about how she got her start in the industry, her trans identity, and what she thinks of youth subculture today.
