Make Mumma Proud - Mothers Day Gifts for yo Mumma

I know it's super cliche to claim to have the best Mum in the world, but I don't even care. Everything I got, from my personality to my "ass that won't quit", I got from my Mumma, so celebrating her is something I take a lot of pleasure in. Not all of us are lucky to have a mum at all, or at least one that is as understanding and inspiring as I think mine is, so having her is something I never take for granted. Don't get me wrong, I do totally get Mother's Day was created by Hallmark, but hell, when it comes to celebrating yo Mumma, a planned day to do the things you love with her is always good in my book! Although it's completely acceptable to shower her with good old fashioned chocolates or the rose scented hand cream, this year, I have scoured the internet for things that will bring an element of surprise into our yearly celebration. So with that in mind, whether your mum is the woman who birthed you, raised you, or mentored you, this is a roundup of the best gifts that will go beautifully with the gift of your time this Sunday. After all, we did all get it from our mama.

A fancy candle

If there's one thing my Mum LOVES it's a beautiful smelling candle like this one, and my bets are that yours would too.
Shearer Candles, £25

All the wine

There's nothing I love more than putting the world to rest with my Mumma over a glass of wine. Make sure it's not just the glass that is always full with this wine rack.
Oliver Bonas, £35

Keep her cosy

Make sure the next time she puts her feet up she's got her Hyge on with this chunky knit throw.
Chunky Knit Blanket, £69

An executive bath

If her life is as faced paced as yours, make her take a minute for herself with an executive Lush bath. They take the stress out by packaging it all up for you and wrapped in a bow. (it goes perfectly with both the wine and fancy candle btw).
Lush Mothers Day Boxes from £12.50

Bag Lady

Like most of us, they have this thing about bags. They need a lot of them, so perhaps this awesome bucket style will take her fancy?
Zara, £29

Her signature scent

The power of smell knows no bounds. One of my favourite signature scents of my Mum's is Pomegranate Noir. It's a bit of a cult fragrance, but I still find myself almost chasing people I meet who wear it and think of her. This one by Eden is a cruelty free dupe of the original and at a fraction of the price.
Pomegranate Noir, Eden Perfumes no 483

She hangs

Instead of a bouquet of blooms, how about some hanging foliage? Macramé is everywhere in interiors world right now, and hanging planters are the perfect no-fuss solution for greening up your Mumma's space.
Macramé Plant Hanger, Etsy £26.95

Breakfast in Bed

If you are living at home, suprise her with breakfast in bed delivered on this incredible orange tray from COS in collaboration with Hay Kaleido.
COS x Hay Tray, £25

Stay at home

Brunch (although delicious) can be pretty disappointing on Mother's Day. I mean, how difficult is it to cook THAT many perfect poachies on one over crowded day, am I right? Instead your brunch at home with some bottomless mimosas, setting your own ambiance with these awesome candle holders.
Candle Holders, Etsy £28

You

I've already said the main thing you should give your Mumma is to be with you, but if you can't be by her side, send her your face, or your face with her face that makes you happy. Chances are, she'll love it more than you'll ever know.

Happy Mothers Day to all the Mothers out there. From Nanna's to Nonnies, Mummy's to Mumma's, Mums to Moms, on behalf of all the kids out there, I thank you.
