Coco Capitan's new short film for NOWNESS

Spanish artist-photographer Coco Capitán—who rose to fame through collaborations with Gucci and shoots for British Vogue and Dazed—captures the experience of living within, and floating free of our own bodies.

The film, which has its online premiere on NOWNESS, after launching at Art Basel Miami Beach, pursues meandering interviews with individuals holding extraordinary poses, and staring directly into her camera. These lingering portraits delve into the private thoughts of Capitán’s curious models, giving voice to ordinarily submerged and fleeting considerations, while exploring the difficulties that physical barriers impose on human aspirations.
