Animal Testing Facts and Myths

Famously cruelty-free UK beauty brand The Body Shop have launched #ForeverAgainstAnimalTesting, a new push to show consumers the reality of the controversial practice and what you can do to stop it.

Before someone says it- yes, I know that The Body Shop's parent company is L'Oreal, who sell products in China and therefore test a proportion of them on animals, BUT, they have just been bought over by Natura. A Brazilian company who fit in with the ethos of the company much better than L'Oreal ever could.

L’Oréal, the world’s largest cosmetics company, is selling up because decline has set in at the brand once viewed as a trendy eco-friendly label. Body Shop’s operating profits dived 38% to €34m in the year to 31 December 2016, while sales sank nearly 5% to €921m. The pace of decline increased in the final and key Christmas quarter, sliding by 6.3%. - The Guardian

We can't wait to see whats next for the company now they are going back to their animal friendly roots.
