6 Easy ways to update your makeup bag this spring

| Finding the best spring makeup looks can be hard, but here is our favourite (eye)line-up for your perfect concealer, mascara and all the rest, this spring.

OK, so it may have just been the coldest day of the year but with the clocks
going forward later in the week, believe it or not, Spring is here and it’s about time too! With the snow and the minus whatever temperatures we are more than ready to get somewhat of a glow on, and since you probably want to check out every item in your virtual cart on Cult Beauty, your inner conscience is probably squealing – just like mine. So, to save you from yourself, we’ve pulled out our six easy product swaps you can follow to update your makeup look for SS18 before we loose an hour. You’re welcome!

Glossy bossy

A good foundation is a must for every makeup bag and a firm favourite across the whole FFD team has to be Sara Hill’s Velvet Sheer. From street style to the runway, everyone’s face has been glossy, hydrated with a natural finish and this foundation does most of the work for you.

Sara Hill – Velvet Sheet Foundation £30

Cloud Hype

Believe every last single bit of the hype. Glossier Cloud Paint has been a beauty editor’s favourite since it’s UK launch last autumn and the best time to wear cream blush is definitely now. Giving that natural light wash of colour, making your skin look radiant. Apply with your fingers and use across eyes, lips and cheeks for that fresh, tea stained look.

Glossier – Cloud Paint £15

Gloss is the new matte

If you didn’t already get the memo that gloss is the new matte, now’s the time to make the swap. Although we will always be fond of a matte lip, there’s something super sassy about a glossy lip that we can’t get enough of. Outline your lips with your favourite liner and go over with Fenty Beauty Gloss Bomb in Fenty Glow which will match literally anything.

Fenty Beauty – Gloss Bomb £16

Space eyes

We’re not talking gel liner here, take the look to SS18 and beyond with a cream shimmers. Reminiscent of the makeup looks we saw at London Fashion Week last month, NYX Holographic Halo Cream Eyeliner makes the cut as a more affordable way to recreate the looks. Instead of drawing a black wing, smudge some futuristic metallics on to the edges of your eye to take your makeup game to another galaxy.

Lash Attack

Ditch your regular mascara and go all out with the big guns, and by that I mean Eyeko. Like no other Mascara you have ever tried, Black Magic does exactly what it says on the tube!

Eyeko – Black Magic Mascara £19

This season’s eyeliner is more than just a liner – it’s got a shape, it’s got detail and it’s the bigger the better. Flicked, dotted or just drawn right around the eye, don’t be afraid to add some negative space into the mix too!

Kat Von D – Tattoo Liner £16
